On every occasion, Director General of Badilag, Wahyu Widiana, always emphasizes the importance of leadership role in accomplishing vision and mission of Indonesian supreme judiciary. This is also what he said before the participants of Regional Working Meeting (Rakerda) of PTA (High Religious court) Medan, North Sumatra on Wednesday (27/1).

According to the DG, Leaders play a very important role in realizing the Indonesian supreme judiciary. Excellent facilities and high budget are not the guarantee. It is the leaders’ high attention and exemplary attitude that determine the implementation of supreme, respected, independent and modern judiciary.

He further asked all court leadership to maintain good coordination in planning, executing and supervising working programs since it is the successful key for every court.

“It is very sad to hear a disharmony among Chief Judge, Vice Chief Judge and Registrar in a court,” Wahyu said in front of the audience comprising Chief Judges, Vice Chief Judges and Registrars of Religious Courts throughout North Sumatra.

Wahyu also urged all leaders to change their paradigm from being served to the one who is always ready to serve.

“Spare your time every morning for opening websites of badilag.net, mahkamahagung.go.id and other related sites to keep you always informed with the latest issues.”

“Leaders of PA (Religious Court) and PTA don’t need to be experts on IT, but must understand to operate computer. More than that, leaders must be capable of motivating all judges and staff to be familiar with IT. It is now undeniable that IT has given us considerable benefits,” Wahyu added.

Before closing his speech, Director General again reminded the attendance that it was not impossible to realize a great judiciary if leadership pays much attention with full support from judges and staff in every court.

Quote of The Day

O you who believe! Be upright for Allah, bearers of witness with justice, and let not hatred of a people incite you not to act equitably; act equitably, that is nearer to piety, and he careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is Aware of what you do”.
(QS. Al-Ma`idah : 8).
